HUGE WINS FOR VIRGINIA DEMS!

With Abigail Spanberger winning the governorship, Virginia will have a Democratic trifecta! And Democratic candidates flipped thirteen (13) seats in the House of Delegates, for a new total of 64 seats held by Democrats!

All States Win candidates won their House of Delegate races: eight (8) challengers flipped their seats and seven (7) incumbents held their blue seats. What about the three fantastic candidates whom we South Bay volunteers supported?

  • Josh Thomas, Marine veteran and lawyer, held onto one of the state's most competitive seats. In 2023, Josh won with 51.7%; this year he got 58.3%!
  • Leslie Mehta, civil rights lawyer, unseated an anti-abortionist with 51.6% (1,590 votes).
  • Lily Franklin, former math teacher, defeated a right-wing extremist with 51.2%.

How did we support our candidates? Early Money totals: $21K for Josh, $36K for Leslie, $27K for Lily.

We held 34 phonebanks and made 63,375 calls, identifying undecided voters, recruiting volunteers, helping people make voting plans — and wrote 10,600 postcards!

Many, many thanks to everyone! Lily, Leslie and Josh won their races!

MORE EXHILARATING WINS FOR DEMS!

  • In Mississippi, 3 SD-supported candidates flipped their seats, ending the red supermajority.
  • In Minnesota, the SD-supported candidate won a state Senate seat.
  • Pennsylvania: all 3 Democratic Supreme Court justices reelected.
  • Georgia: two Democrats won statewide non-federal elections for the first time in ~20 years.
  • Connecticut: Democrats took control of 28 towns.
  • Bucks County, PA: first Democratic DA since the 1800s — part of a complete countywide sweep.
  • Nationwide: all 31 Moms for Liberty candidates lost.

For an in-depth recap, join the post-election debrief. Stories from the field and a celebration of all the work that made these wins possible.

Our work for 2026 is already underway. This is the moment to deepen it, sharpen it, and charge into the next cycle with focus and fire.
